Latest news
News is, there are good and bad.
I'll start with the bad. My brothers did not come as donors. And now I need to look for a donor, but it will take time and additional costs.
Good news. Clinic in Wiesbaden has answered. They are ready to take me to the phased payment. To start the process, I need to send the blood to the donor selection, and pay for the search. Then issue the visa and fly to Wiesbaden to undergo therapy deterrent in place.
Once the donor is found, am submitting the outstanding balance and walk the rest of treatment.
At the moment it is the best option out of the fact that I was offered.
The financial side of the question.
To date, I have got about 75,000 euros.
The required amount is still 160,000 euros (145,000 euros minimm). This is what must be calculated. This includes the treatment and additional stay if necessary.

Last News
Dear friends!
Аfter the last chemical therapy course results are not encouraging, the disease progresses, and I urgently need cell transplantation.
I found a clinic in Germany (http://www.rhoen-klinikum-ag.com), which is ready to receive me, but the operation and all the necessary procedures cost about 200,000 euros.
In the near future I will get the supportive therapy.
At the moment, my family is looking for all possible ways to get the required amount, but unfortunately we have very little time.
To my great regret, I must ask for your help. If you have the opportunity to help me financially, I'd be grateful.

Status update - September 2012
Dear friends!
I am very grateful for your help and support. It’s very important for me
and my family.
Excuse me for absence the news for a long time.
A few words about events from the May.
From May to July, I had a time to rehabilitation, after complication
with a liver. Unfortunately except leukemia has been detected hepatitis B, and
I need a time for a rehabilitation. For that reason was revised treatment
protocol, and hard chemical courses were replaced by low courses. In July, I
had a low course of chemical therapy. All test results after that was great,
and all pointed to stabile remission.
Between courses, I went back to work. It was very nice to return to the team that has supported me so mach.
Between courses, I went back to work. It was very nice to return to the team that has supported me so mach.
Unfortunately, in start of September, another test results show a
relapse. My doctor adopted an emergency decision, despite the risk
complications with my liver, renew a hard chemical therapy. At that moment I
pass rate of rehabilitation after hard chemical therapy.
Considering the short time between the start of treatment to relapse, my
doctor insists on cell transplantation, because the probability of repeated
relapses in a short time is very high. Unfortunately it is
impossible to perform the surgery in Ukraine.

Dear colleagues,Excuse me that I for a few time was not able to write there any updates...
Due to Alexander absence we are overloaded there...
I want to publish some last news from Alexander.
Today Alexander is under hard treatment - many courses of chemical therapy (he had passed 4 chemical courses for today). Left as minimum 10… Last chemical cource ended two weeks ago.
Doctor forbid now to do any surgery. His organizm shows reaction to chemical treatment, so currently doctor decide to postpone surgery and decide to go with thru the less life risk way - way of chemical treatment...
Possible, his organism can fight with cure just with help of chemical therapy.
Every chemical course is spent a few weeks. 1 week of treatment by chemical preparates and 2-3 week - reabilitation, with many (10-15) blood transflusions and anthybiotic treatment.
His state is still hard but is stabile...
Additionally, due to hard chemical treatment he is have now a problem with the liver. It is seriously damaged. So doctor additionally work under liver renewal...
Alexander still have an optimistic mood. He is continue to fight with this disease.
Of cource every time when I visit him, I told that all of you ask about his health. That we all wait for him and wish to him all the best and good health.
Thank you, dear colleagues!

Dear Colleagues,
Currently with your help we collected needed summ!
Thank you all, now we have all funds needed for Alexander's treatment...
So we should cross our fingers and wait for second chemical course result...
current COLLECTION STATUS - STOPPED
In a few days I will post there update about treatment...
---------------------------------------
Dear colleagues,
I'm very thankful to all of you for your help, for donations, for support.
Some of you ask "why we stopped collection".
But we really ask just for crytically needed help. Of cource Alexander's family will need much more moneys for reabilitation, for support... But this will be not such big and not one-time payment... It will be much easy for them (and for us) to collect this moneys. For this purposes we can support them locally and we will not be limited in the time...
Currently we have information from doctor that in any case we should have now 50 kEur to pass next needed treatment. After next cource of Chemical therapy we will know the concrete next way.
This can be or many (about 10-12) cources of Chemical therapy, or this can be immediate operation... All will depend from Alexanders state and analyses after second chemical therapy cource...
But we still should assist Alexander, should help him by our wishes, words of encouragement, etc.
Now very urgent part of treatment is psychological support.
He must fight with disease, must know that we all wish him all the best, we all wait for him and trust in succesfull result!
Thank you, dear colleagues!

17/01/2012 - Alexander's current state
Dear colleagues,
I have last news about Alexander's.
Yesterday (16 of Jan) I've had next visit to the Alexander's.
Currently he under hard but stabile state.
He has passed first course of chemical therapy (from 09 of Jan and till 13 of Jan).
Now he is undergoing rehabilitation after first chemical therapy.
Immediate after chemical course:
- his leukocytes level about 4 (but must be about 1). Chemical course must decrease this level, but look like this task completed not fully...
- his level of thrombocytes is very low... near 0 (but must be about 170). Course of Rehabilitation must increase its level.
For rehabilitation he receive about 4-5 liters of "liquid antibiotics" per day (directly in the blood).
Additionally every 2 days he receive extract from the blood, which consist from thrombocytes.
This extract must be created from "fresh blood", so we prepared pool of donors for Alexander.
Every 2-4 days next donor have pass next "donation of blood"...
Yesterday thrombocytes level increased up to 26. This good sign, because this mean that organism started regenerate of blood.
But due to high leucocytes level doctor told him, that he should immediately pass second chemical course.
Just after this, when his organism recover after second chemical course, and when his analyses will be checked, doctor can propose next ways of treatment.
If organism will react positively, possible that all treatment can be passed just via many chemical courses. This too very long time and very expensive treatment, but this is very much less risks for his life than operation.
So next chemical course appointed at the next monday (23 of Jan) and take about one week.
We all wish to Alexander all the best and keep our fingers crossed.
And we all wait for positive results and wish to Alexander's all the best.
Our thoughts with you, dear friend and colleague!
